About ferra.tools
ferra.tools is a collection of small, free web tools. Each one solves a specific task without asking for an account, without anything to install, and without uploading your data to a server.
How the tools work
Unless a tool says otherwise on its own page, all processing happens in your browser using JavaScript. The text you type, the files you open and the numbers you calculate never travel across the network — they stay on your device.
That has three practical consequences. The tools are fast, because there is no server round trip. They keep working on a bad connection. And there is no server holding your data for someone to leak.
How it is funded
The site is funded by advertising. There are no paid plans, no "pro" tiers and no usage limits. Ads are kept out of each tool's working area: if an ad gets in the way of using the tool, the ad is in the wrong place.
Usage data is not sold to third parties, and no first-party user profiles are built.
Suggestions and bugs
If a tool gives a wrong result, if it misses a case you need, or if there is a tool you wish existed, get in touch. Concrete reports are what make this better.
